Privacy policy
As of September 2026
1. Overview
This website (NickIT ZeroPortal, zeroportal.de) is a static website. It uses no cookies, no local browser storage, no tracking pixels, no analytics scripts and no other means of tracking visitors. No information is stored on or read from your device (§ 25 TDDDG); for that reason we do not ask for consent. The language is chosen through the address (/de/ or /en/), not through a cookie. The connection is encrypted with TLS.
2. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted on a web server (Apache) in Germany. The server automatically writes access logs containing the IP address, date and time, requested address, HTTP status code and browser identification. These logs serve technical operation and security only, are not combined with other data and are deleted after 14 days at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).
3. Download counter
When an installer is downloaded, the server increments a counter for that file. Only the number per file is stored. IP address, time, location or browser are not recorded for this purpose.
4. No external resources
The website loads no fonts, scripts, videos or other content from third-party servers. There are no social network integrations, no map services and no content from content delivery networks. Everything is served from our own server. Links to other websites (such as YouTube) are plain links; data only flows there when you click them. The only exception is the newsletter form, which transmits data only when you submit it (section 8).
5. Contact
If you write to us by e-mail, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for that purpose and no statutory retention periods apply.

7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). Please use the address above.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Data Protection Commissioner of Lower Saxony (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hanover, Germany.
8. Newsletter
In the footer of every page you can subscribe to the M.A.D. newsletter. Subscriptions are handled by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA). Your e-mail address and, if given, first and last name are transmitted to Mailchimp only when you submit the form; merely viewing the page sends nothing. The subscription is completed by a confirmation e-mail (double opt-in). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter. The transfer to the USA relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Intuit is certified, and additionally on the EU standard contractual clauses. Details are in Mailchimp's privacy policy.
