Two rules, no small print: App-V publishing with the Microsoft App-V client is free, with no limit on the number of users. The Pro licence costs 8 € per user per year, net plus statutory VAT, with volume tiers of 6 € from 501 and 5 € from 5,001 users; minimum purchase 100 users. Product support is included from 20,000 users; below that, support is billed. 30 free licences are included with every installation.

Support and services
Support with a guaranteed response time is something we can only carry inside the licence from a certain size. So: from 20,000 users, product support is included. Below that, support is billed, as a package or by time. This also applies to help with App-V and MSIX packages outside the SLA.

Frequently asked questions
Where exactly is the line between free and licensed?
It runs along the client, not the technology. Everything the Microsoft App-V client obtains from the portal is free. Everything the ZeroPortal agent delivers needs the Pro licence: MSIX, App Attach, policies, and App-V packages when the agent distributes them.
What happens when the licence count is exceeded?
Delivery continues, nothing is blocked. The portal shows the excess on the licence page and sends an e-mail; on the affected devices the agent shows a red notice every four hours, provided notifications are enabled. You order additional licences, upload the new file, and the notice disappears.
Users or devices?
You choose the counting mode in the portal. For terminal servers, AVD and VDI, counting per user is recommended so that session hosts do not count. In device mode the same price applies per device.
How does the licence get into the portal?
As a signed file that you upload on the licence page. The portal verifies the signature. Several files add up as long as they match the selected counting mode. In a cluster the licence applies to both nodes.
Do I get support with 100 users?
Yes, for a fee. With Professional Support you open tickets, we respond within 4 hours on working days during German office hours, one hour per month is included, everything beyond is billed to the minute. This also covers help with App-V and MSIX packages. Product support inside the licence itself starts at 20,000 users.
How do the volume tiers work?
All amounts quoted are net prices plus statutory VAT. The price per user depends on the total number of licensed users and then applies to all of them: up to 500 users 8 €, from 501 users 6 €, from 5,001 users 5 € per user per year. The minimum purchase is 100 users. All prices net.
Is there a discount for the public sector?
Yes, 30 % on the Pro licence for public authorities, schools and universities. Request a quote by e-mail and name the institution.
Is there a trial period?
You do not need one. With the 30 free licences you set up a pilot group and work with it for as long as you like. A licence file only becomes due once the agent serves more than 30 users.
