What is M.A.D. Day?
One day, one topic: how applications get onto workstations, terminal servers and virtual desktops cleanly, quickly and maintainably. Practitioners report from projects, Microsoft talks about roadmaps, vendors show their tools, and the breaks are for everything that is in no documentation.
- Topics: App-V and its future, MSIX and App Attach, FSLogix, packaging, code signing, secure delivery, tools around the application lifecycle.
- Audience: administrators, packagers, consultants and architects from enterprises and public authorities.
- Free: attendance is free, the talks go to YouTube afterwards.
- History: grown out of the App-V Tag, a community meeting with a longer tradition that Nick Informationstechnik has hosted since 2017. In 2019 it became the first M.A.D. Day in Hamburg, in German, at Microsoft's offices, with attendees travelling from as far as Switzerland. 2020 and 2021 online as M.A.D. Cast. 2024 back in Hamburg, now with international speakers.
M.A.D. Day 2024, Hamburg
On 15 November 2024, App-V and MSIX practitioners met in Hamburg. The most important news of the day: App-V is not going away, it remains part of Microsoft's operating systems. All talks are available on YouTube:
